Yeats’s Ireland(에이츠의 아일랜드)
Yeats’s Ireland(에이츠의 아일랜드)
Yeats
Ireland
Ireland
Yeats
Yeats
occult(신비주의)문화에 심취했엇고

According to Kant form is a quality of the mind, an order which the mind imposes upon the phenomenal world. Space and time, although they are empirically real, are transcendentally ideal; that is they are not qualities of noumena, but are the tools of aesthetic intuition which are common to all minds. They are not transcedentally real, but since they are common to all minds, they are empirically real. The imagination can do strange things, can conceive of an elephant which is pink, or has as many legs as a centipede, but it can not avoid space and time. It is impossible to conceive of a non-spatial elephant. The scientific notions of cause and effect, etcetera, are also rules of the mind. They do not bear any relationship to the noumenal reality. Thus it is that Kant is led to claim that “percepts without concepts are blind”- that is, we cannot have experience(perceptions) without imposing the forms of space and time and the categories which govern relationships within space and time. And as a corollary, “concepts without percepts are empty”- they are only mental constructs which despite Plato, have no independent reality. from “Art, History and the Phenomenal World” in ‘High Talk (The philosophical poetry of W.B. Yeats)’ by Robert Snukal(Cambridge University Press 1973) # Have healthy and happy summer days!!!
공간과 시간(space and time)은 경험적으로 사실적이나, 초월적으로(transcendentally)는 이상(ideal)이다; 즉 이말은 본질(qualities of noumena)은 아니지만, 모든 마음에 공통적인 미적직관의 도구들(tools of aesthetic intuition)이다. 이러한 추론(a corollary)은 “지각이 없는 개념은 텅빈(공허한) 것과 같다.(concepts without percepts are empty)”는 것으로 이야기 될 수 있다. - 이개념은(concepts)은 플라톤(Plato)의 학설에도 불구하고도 정신적인 구성물들(mental constructs)에 불과하며 어떠한 독립적인 실체를 가지지 못한다(have no independent reality) (translated into Korean language by Baek Won Sun)
